Today I had my first day of general security training at Securitas in Charlotte. It was ok... very long and quite redundant since I worked security while I was seminary from 2000-2005. But I guess it was a good refresher. The really weird thing was that while we were sitting there watching all the different videos about general security policies and procedures, all of sudden... THERE I WAS ON THE TV! Yep! That's right, I was in actually in the training video! (HAHA). How funny is that?! Here I am training... and watching me do the job. I thought that was really neat and kind of weird. I wish I could get a copy of it. :)
But anywho, I have one more day of training and then I go to my assigned site for training on that particular post. I'm looking forward to it. I'd rather be working and doing something than just sitting around the house feeling lazy. But I had to blog about it. I'm probably the very first person in security history to be trained by watching himself do the job that he is in fact training for.

That's so funny! And I'm sure kind of annoying, since it was obvious that you already know what you're doing! What did the trainer say when he saw you in the video?
haha!
Stacey... Actually, the trainers never noticed that it was me. And even after I told them, they were like "Really? That's something." I'm not sure they believed me. :)
And Oldmother... haha, but no I was the one doing what was right. Yes!
Hi Taylor... Yeah, it was pretty funny for me to. It was the very first time in a training video I wanted to rewind it and watch it again! :)
this job seems like a step down from the Job as a youth pastor. why would you quit that job for this?
It's a long story Jenn. :)
